At the Lotus Hospital Endoscopy Unit, digestive system diseases are diagnosed and cancer screening is performed using gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
In our endoscopy unit, the inner surface of the digestive system from the throat to the large intestine is viewed directly with thin, flexible camera-equipped devices. Gastroscopy (upper endoscopy) is used to diagnose reflux, gastritis, ulcers and other stomach conditions; colonoscopy is used to diagnose large intestine diseases and to screen for polyps and cancer. Procedures are performed under sedation with patient comfort as the priority. When necessary, biopsies can be taken and polyps removed.
Comfortable procedures under sedation

Diagnosis and intervention in the same session
Fast results with pathology and laboratory support
Since procedures are performed under sedation (light anesthesia), pain or discomfort is generally not felt. You can return to daily life shortly after the procedure.
A fiber-free diet the day before and the bowel-cleansing medication recommended by your physician are required. For gastroscopy, fasting for at least 6-8 hours before the procedure is sufficient.
For people without risk factors, screening is recommended from the age of 45-50. Those with a family history of colon cancer may need to start earlier.
